Which dog breed is best for training?
Although the wide-spread notion in Bulgaria is that there are:
- profoundly intelligent dogs which are almost like “born” trained and educated, and
- ones which just are not subject of ANY training at all, and it is hard or impossible to train them (like dogs of the breeds “Huskey”, “Karakachan dog”, “Caucasian shepherd”, the big, strong and self-willed “Rottwailer”, “Pitbull”, “American Staffordshir Terrier”, and others)

The special CANIS attitude to You has another feature: we offer to help you for choosing your pet-dog, advise You, give you useful tips and get you prepared for this serious step: i.e. the taking of dog as a family pet. Depending on the conditions you are going to raise it in, who is going to take care of it mostly – we will tell you “Don’t take this dog as you will not be able to handle it” or “You will be able to handle it, but with our help”.
We also offer to choose for you the best suitable dog according to its breed and age.
WHICH IS THE MOST APPROPRIATE AGE FOR THE BEGINNING OF TRAINING AND TEACHING YOUR DOG?
CANIS recommends You this to start from second till third month of the age of the puppy.
During every single period further of dog’s life corrections could be made in his social behavior and training, and to receive good and very good results, but this is in direct dependence on that who has taken care of the dog before that. In other words - who has fed him, walked him (raised the dog), “trained” him. And in all occasions one could work much better and higher results could be achieved if influence of not enough prepared owners or “professionals” could be avoided.
THE TRAINING…..
The most special CANIS proposal for You is that we are offering education for yourself. The special here is that You could learn and prepare before You get a dog. This is a preliminary course in which You will get prepared to meet Your extraordinary but in the same time too young and easy to hurt friend – the dog. After attending this course there will be no risk at all for you making bad and rough mistakes when communicating to Your puppy. And when Your puppy comes to You, we all together will continue walking on the extraordinary lighted and correct way to achieving the exceptionally, proverbial, only one and unique friendship between a man and a dog. In order You to understand and to be able to know what is it the best friend of the man, and that is a huge and very beautiful truth as a part of the life.
IF YOU CANNOT COME TO US, CANIS WILL COME TO YOU
CANIS is situated in Plovdiv city, Bulgaria, but we could come to You, no matter where You are in Bulgaria. With an appointment, individually, only for You and Your dog or when You are ready with a group of dogs.
